Zoe turned 3 months today! Mom and daughter celebrated with a mini-graduation ceremony in the morning (she’s graduating to formula) and a trip to Cold Stone Creamery in the evening, where mom had a banana split that Zoe will get to enjoy tomorrow. She was extremely happy all day (except for the 15 minutes at the ice cream shop ) and really knows how to turn on the charm at opportune times.
As we entered February, I’m reflecting on how much has changed since the beginning of the year, which now seems like such a long time ago. On January 1st I was excited about 8 consecutive hours of sleep, and not sure when it would occur again. Now 8 hours is a light night for a girl who routinely sleeps 9-10 hours, and can even do 11 hours after a tiring day. Zoe’s bed time used to be as late as midnight and is now is 10:00 thanks to John perfecting the bath-feed-sleep ritual. She is now so accustomed to the feeding after the bath that the grace period between when she exits the bath tub and expects the milk to arrive is but a few minutes at best, and getting shorter.
